HISTORY

Oasis Brewery was founded in 1991 and is still considered one of Colorado’s original microbreweries.

George Hanna and his wife Lynne had a vision to create classic craft beers that are easy to drink and enjoy that would also stand the test of time. They opened the Oasis Brewer Pub in Boulder, Colorado and Oasis Brewery quickly became one of Colorado’s biggest producing and award-winning breweries. They successfully completed that vision and the Colorado drinkers responded.

From 1992-2000, our craft beer quickly gained recognition as a result of winning amazing awards by well-established organizations like the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. By 1995, we made plans to open a state-of-the-art facility and, in 1997, opened the Oasis Annex—a 12,000-square foot facility located in Boulder, which is still being used by breweries in Boulder today. Between the two locations, they had 22,000 square feet of brewing mania.

The late 1990’s and into the 2000’s, microbrew beer sales had taken a turn for the worse, and the decision was made that it was time to move on; but it was never forgotten. During the time Oasis Brew Pub was open, they were proud to serve tens of thousands of beer and food lovers and developed a loyal following who have eagerly awaited our return. Although the wait was longer than hoped by many, the time came in 2015 to relaunch the brand and the award-winning beers to the public. The beer was re-brewed and distributed throughout Colorado and had a warm welcome from its loyal drinkers from the Oasis Brewery in Boulder, Colorado.

Oasis relaunched the brand by distributing the beers in restaurants, local bars, and liquor stores. After the interest in our craft beer was reestablished, we started promoting the brand throughout the front range at local beer festivals and sponsoring some of the Boulder Creek Festival events. George and the other owners quickly realized that a space to come and enjoy the beer was needed. The search for a new brewery began and it took over a year to find the perfect location. Several different locations were considered and the company settled on a historic building in Highlands Square. What better way to enjoy beer than in an old church? Dealing with the city and the historical society presented more of a challenge than we expected and the process took more than a year to complete the permitting, design, and buildout, but Oasis Brewery Highlands Square finally opened in November of 2017.

The Oasis Brewery was, and still is dedicated to producing fresh, full-bodied craft beer for all levels of beer connoisseurs. We opened with the five flagship beers: Oasis Scarab Red, Oasis Pale Ale, Tut Brown Ale, Capstone E.S.B and Zoser Stout. There has been a high demand for some of our seasonal and specialty beers. Please continue to keep an eye on our social media and website for announcements about the re-launch dates for some of the highly requested specialty/seasonal beers. In the meantime, come down to 3257 N. Lowell Blvd, Denver, CO 80211 to enjoy some classic favorites!
